12@EL Landscape Update

Nathan Bluhm

I spoke to Nathan Bluhm, owner of Space Landscape about what the landscaping will be at 12@ELDEN.
Nathan is a 2nd generation landscape designer and received his degree from Cal Poly Pomona in Landscape Design.
Keeping in mind bettershelter's credo, "sustainability, responsibility, creativity and community", Nathan has crafted a landscape plan with those words firmly etched everywhere in the design.
Some of the features being planned for 12@ELDEN:
• water-wise plant palette with an emphasis on native plants
• organic community gardens.
• fruit trees for every home
• lots of fragrant-filled plants (think night blooming jasmine)
• porous driveways, where virtually no runoff water will make it into the street
• a "living wall" front wall design
The landscape design will be one of the defining features for 12@ELDEN.
Stay tuned!
