Motel 6 has just unveiled its new design called "Phoenix". I think it looks good, waaaay better than the OG model.
Looks like someone stayed at The Standard and at the Ace Hotel.
BTW, an Ace Hotel is opening in Palm Springs. They bought an old Howard Johnsons motel and Dennys restaurant on Palm Canyon Drive. Rumor has it that Commune has been contracted to do design work.
I like Commune, I hired them a few years back to design a Roxy trade show booth.
