The Slow Flip

I will be speaking at Dwell On Design on "The Slow Flip"

I am out to transform the term "flipping", it can have such a negative connotation.
What we do to homes is so much more than just "flip" them.

Come by! It will be fun.

Seen At Dwell On Design

OK, so I saw Food, Inc last night and the movie made me realize EVEN MORE the importance of the "slow growth" movement.
Grow your own food, shop at farmer's markets, insist on organic produce!
With all that in mind, one of the great products I saw at Dwell On Design yesterday were the Woolly Pockets. USA made from recycled plastic bottles, these containers would be great for victory gardens!
You can grow on the ground or on a wall!

Dwell On Design Home Tour

I just signed up for the Dwell On Design East Side Home Tour for Saturday, June 27.
Every once in a while driving through the neighborhoods of Glassell Park, Echo Park, Atwater, etc you see some amazing homes sprinkled throughout. This is a great opportunity to peek behind the scenes.
Says Dwell:
"This self-drive tour through Los Angeles East Side substitutes hills for beaches and hipster enclaves for coastal fog. This isn't a part of L.A. that many tourists get to see. Silver Lake, Eagle Rock and Glassell Park unroll their peacefully leafy streets for anyone who dares to stop by. Self-drive or carpooling means you can set your own pace - perfect for a sunny Saturday."
See you then!
