Bathroom Counter
I saw this thread in Apartment Therapy and thought it looked great.
Taking an old Mid Century Modern credenza and converting it into a sink fixture....great way to re-purpose.
Usually the majority of these types of projects end up looking weird and too craft-y, however this one hits the mark.

Gregory Ain Home For Sale
For sale in Silver Lake, this place reminds me IN CONCEPT of the 12@ELDEN project we have in Costa Mesa:

Venice Home By Steven Shortridge
Today's LA Times features a Venice home designed by Steven Shortridge. We know Steven to be very talented; both him and his business partner Barbara Callas have done amazing work through their firm Callas Shortridge Architects.
Steven's own Venice home is an exercise in designing the perfect mini-home, it is the perfect jewel box home.
I worked with them both through Quiksilver and bettershelter and found their approach, solutions and designs to be fantastic. And VERY nice people.

The Poor Man's Pool
A New York Times article on outdoor fireplaces notes the upswing in popularity.
Says the Times: "These open-air hearths seem to be having a design moment, too. While traditional wood-burning models may invoke images of hippie campfires or resemble portable barbecue sets — and new ones have recently been banned by pollution rules in parts of Southern California — designer versions that are fueled by gas and look almost sculptural are starting to show up in growing numbers of stylish backyards and the patios of fashionable restaurants."

Converted Garage-LOVE
Love this converted garage by Shed Building, we should all be so lucky as to have something like this in our own backyards!
